LUGAS stands for Cross-State Gambling Supervision System and was introduced in Germany to strengthen player protection in online gambling.
Here’s what LUGAS does:
Monitors your deposit limits By default, your monthly deposit limit is €1,000. You can increase or decrease it – increases take effect after eight days.
Prevents simultaneous gambling with multiple providers Once you are active, this is centrally recorded to prevent parallel play with other licensed operators.
All providers with a German license are required to be connected to LUGAS. Data is processed in a pseudonymized manner and monitored by the Joint Gambling Authority of the Federal States (GGL).
