What happens if I deposit using someone else’s account?

For security and legal reasons, deposits and withdrawals can only be made using payment methods that are registered in your own name.
This protects your account and prevents unauthorized or fraudulent transactions.

👥 Exception: Joint Bank Accounts

For bank accounts, there is one important exception:

➡️ A bank account can be used by up to two users,
for example in cases such as:

  • husband and wife
  • officially shared household bank accounts
  • jointly registered partners

As long as both names are officially listed as account holders, the bank account can be used at Tipico.

🚫 Payment Methods That Are Not Allowed

Any payment method that is not registered in your name — or not officially set up as a joint account — will be rejected, such as:

  • a friend’s bank account
  • a family member’s credit card
  • e‑wallets registered under another person
  • payment methods belonging to someone who is not an official co‑holder

➡️ In these cases, the amount is automatically refunded by the payment provider.

Tipico does not control the processing time.
Based on experience, refunds can take up to 5 business days.

📌 Why This Rule Exists

These policies are in place to ensure:

  • anti‑money‑laundering compliance,
  • security of your personal information,
  • and protection of your Tipico account.

Please always use:

✔ payment methods registered in your own name, or
✔ for bank accounts: an officially registered joint account (max. 2 users).
