How do I verify my credit card?

To ensure secure and successful credit card deposits, a one‑time verification is required.
This process only takes a few minutes and is very simple.


How the verification works

  1. Select “Verify Card” during your deposit.
  2. You will be redirected to our verification partner Jumio.
  3. Follow the on‑screen instructions step by step.

Webcams often produce lower‑quality images and can cause verification failures.


📸 Important for a successful verification

  • Card number and your name must appear on the same side of the card, clearly readable.
  • Only then can the automated verification be completed successfully.

⏱️ Important: 72‑Hour Completion Window

You have 72 hours (3 days) to complete your credit card verification.
During this time, the amount remains pending (authorised but not charged).

If the verification is completed within 72 hours:
➡️ The pending amount is automatically credited to your account.

If you miss the deadline, the verification expires and the pending amount will remain until your bank releases it.


💳 Using a virtual card or cards with data on different sides?

If you use a virtual credit card, or if your card details are printed on different sides of the card, Jumio requires an additional credit card statement, showing clearly:

  • your full name
  • the bank or company logo
  • the issue date (not older than 6 months)
  • a partial card number

Why manual verification via email is not possible

A manual verification cannot be performed for the following reasons:

  • Jumio uses automated security checks, OCR, and fraud‑prevention systems
  • Regulatory and compliance standards require automated verification processes
  • Manual email checks would not meet security, data protection, or AML requirements

➡️ Therefore, the verification can only be performed through Jumio.


🔄 If the verification fails

If your credit card verification is not successful:

  • The amount is not charged
  • It remains as a pending (pre‑authorised) transaction
  • Your bank will release it automatically

Depending on the issuer, this may take up to 10 business days.
Tipico has no influence on the release time.
